2018 European Society For Biomaterials and US Society For Biomaterials Summer School, Bordeaux, France. Are you a PhD student or faculty member working in the field of Biomaterials and interested in international travel to further your knowledge about the field? Please consider applying by February 23, 2018 to attend an international Biomaterials Summer School that will be held in Bordeaux, France during 25-29 June 2018. Conference website: http://summerschoolbordeaux.altervista.org This is a jointly organized event by the European Society For Biomaterials (esbiomaterials.eu) and the US Society For Biomaterials (biomaterials.org) born from a shared passion about educating students of any age about the use of biomaterials in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine products. Our two societies were both formed in the 1970’s to encourage, foster, promote and advance research and development and education in biomaterial sciences. The field continues to expand from medical devices to biomaterials as a vital role in the delivery of living cells for tissue regeneration and in the generation of tissues and organoids for rapid screening of new drugs. The ESB and SFB seek to strengthen international collaboration in biomaterials by co-organizing a summer school with a focus on bioprinting and tissue regeneration. The goal is to give students from countries around the world the opportunity to learn from leading biomaterials experts from around the world. Estimated attendance is 60 students (can be students enrolled in higher degree programs or faculty) to be taught by 10 faculty and will include hands on 3-D printing/bioprinting and imaging lessons in addition to traditional biomaterial lectures and in-class activities. We hope this event will stimulate the growth of future leaders in the field of biomaterialsand regenerative medicine, as well as stimulating research projects between participating faculty that will span multiple countries and lead to advances in biomaterials science and technology. Please visit the website and apply by March 1, 2018.
